JVS Workshops: 2 Day Workshop SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT - SHOOTSAC by Jessica Claire!

SHOOTSAC
“You are going to love having a bag that actually works as opposed to having to work around your bag. Personally, I don’t need a lot of fancy gear to create the images I see. The magic you can’t bottle is happening right there in front of me. Shootsac makes it possible for me to keep it simple, keep it quick, and most importantly, keep shooting.” jc
SHOOTSAC

For the past year, JVS and I have never left for a shoot without our SHOOTSAC’s. I love mine so much that I’ve given it dual duties. When I’m shooting, it cares for my gear and when the shooting stops it transforms into one super cool purse!

JVS is pretty particular about his gear. That being said, both he and his assistant wear SHOOTSAC’s. This way, the two are in-sync with how the bags work and where his gear gets safely stored. At any given time, there’s three L lenses, a battery pack, spare CF cards, a backup off-shoe cord with a backup flash inside JVS’ SHOOTSAC.

A HUGE thank you to Jessica Claire for generously donating a SHOOTSAC and a couple gift certificates to our Workshop! Thanks Jess! Anne

JVS Workshops: 2 Day Workshop SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT - Red River Paper!

Red River Paper

I’ll admit it, I’m a hard-core techie and while I love creating images my second passion is printing those images. In the early 90’s, I found nothing more satisfying then watching my prints appear in the darkroom of my parents home.

Almost 20 years later, I’m just as excited in my studio…my digital darkroom. Ask Anne how many printers I’ve owned over the years and she’ll shout “Over 50!” From the original Epson Stylus Photo to my Fuji Pictrography to the current day Epson 3800 and HP’s Z3100, I find nothing more satisfying then watching prints rolls off my printers.

I’ve tested hundreds of inkjet papers over the years and the testing stopped when I found Red River Paper .

Red River Paper is located in Dallas which is even sweeter, whenever we need paper we hop in the car and visit with Dick, the owner and Drew, the resident inkjet scientist.

Below is a list of the current Red River Papers that we use and their applications.

Print orders: 75lb. Arctic Polar Luster and LuxArt Satin Rag.
Custom Designed Cards by Anne: 60lb. River Linen, Aurora Art Natural, 60lb. Premium Matte PLUS and 64lb. Premium Gloss PLUS.
