JVS Moving Portraits: Fashion bridal session with the stunning Jessica Claire!

This amazing shoot all began when Jessica Claire said “Yes!” to this video. A few days later, Anne and I arrived in beautiful Santa Monica and couldn’t wait to start shooting at one of Jessica’s favorite hotels, the Viceroy. We hit the ground running by scouting locations, sketching some shots then headed up to Malibu for some killer pizza at D’Amore’s. Full of pepperoni, ideas and a star citing…Ed Begley Jr…we cruised down the Pacific Coast Highway to the Santa Monica Pier for added inspiration.

Video and stills tech data:
iDC’s U-Boat Commander Video Rig
iDC’s Run & Gun follow-focus and viewfinder kit
2 - Canon EOS 5D Mark II’s
Canon EF 24-105 f/4L IS USM
Canon EF 50 f/1.2L USM
Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM

Lighting tech data:
3 - Canon Speedlite 580EX II’s
3 - iDC Strobe Slippers
Litepanels Micro

Other important goodies:
Drop It Modern provided the perfect SOHO background
SHOOTSAC’s held all our gear
All stills were tweaked with some Totally Rad Actions and the NEW Totally Rad Lightroom Presets
Stacey Craven worked her magical makeup skills
HD viewing on SmugMug

From dawn til’ way after dusk, we photographed Jessica sporting several different looks and two rockin’ dresses. We had a great time and can’t wait to shoot our next Moving Portraits piece! Thanks for reading and comments are always welcome:) JVS & Anne.
