I wish I was in Dallas for this event. I am a firm believer in off camera flash. If I didn’t need my camera hot shoe for my Pocket Wizard I don’t think I would even need on.
Off camera lighting is critical to standing out from all the Mom-a-rotzis and Papa-a-rotzis. Anyone can buy a 5D with a 580EXII and get “Good Enough” portraits, but it takes an artist to understand light, how to create it, manipulate it, or just plan work with it.
