JVS (Joseph Victor Stefanchik) is an award-winning photographer that photographed weddings, portraits and news for the past 20 years. JVS has created his unique photographic style by using off-camera Speedlites throughout his career. From grids to gels and ring flashes, by using Canon’s Speedlites system JVS will show you new and exciting ways to breathe light in to your images. The day will be balanced between instruction and experimentation with models in a professional photography studio. You will also have the opportunity to make a print of two with the Canon Printer Pro on-site.

Workshop, model fees and partial gear rental: $300

Participant should be very comfortable with their EOS equipment as the instructor will be teaching at an advanced amateur level. Please bring your favorite gear, plenty of memory cards and charged batteries. Lunch will be on your own. You will receive an email with complete instructions and location directions.

Made in the USA, our above rig showcases iDC’s “Whole Shootin’ Match” version of the U-Boat Commander III™ which is available now at the iDC Photo Store.

This is the whole shootin’ match!

This kit includes everything in Kit II plus our Adjustable Shoulder Brace and two Cold Shoes. The Adjustable Shoulder Brace may be used like a rifle stock that is pulled into the shoulder or extended to reach over the shoulder for a higher eye-point. The Adjustable Shoulder Brace forms a wide-base table top tripod that is very stable. When this rig is tripod mounted, the Adjustable Shoulder brace also acts as a convenient pan-and-tilt handle. With this kit, you get everything you need to custom configure your UBC for any situation, from simple to challenging. All UBC kits quickly disassemble for compact packing.

The U-Boat Commander III™ includes:

* Form-fitting black-anodized aluminum baseplate
* Black-anodized aluminum Top Bridge Plate
* Black-anodized aluminum Balancing Block
* Black-anodized aluminum Adjustable Shoulder Brace
* Two iDC Cold Shoes
* Seven non-slip Grip Handles with Seven short ¼-20 allen studs
* Two Extra-Long ¼-20 allen studs to assemble bottom handles through Base Plate into mid-level handles.
* Seven ¼-20 flathead allen screws (1-Camera mount, 2-Bottom Plate Assembly, 2 Shoulder Arm, 2 for Optional Cold Shoe Mount on the Slider Arm.)
* Five ¼-20 button head allen screws (2-Attatch the Top Bridge Plate into the Handles, 2-Cold Shoes to the Top Bridge Plate and 1- Attach Balancing Block to Top Bridge Plate.)
